Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale Wrecked by Subaru WRX STi on Track

By -

Track day accidents are nothing new, but the level of idiocy displayed by this Subaru driver by crashing into this Ferrari is top notch.

The old adage goes “If you can’t walk away from it, don’t track it.” It’s saddening, and most of us think we are impervious of it happening to us, but sometimes it’s completely out of your control. This track day at Monza is a demonstration of just that.

Track marshals apparently waved a black flag and on-track traffic had come to a crawl down one of Monza’s many large straightaways. As the owner of this Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale comes to a slow, following another track patron, the worse case scenario occurs. The driver of the Subaru WRX STi appears to have not noticed the traffic until the last second. In an effort to dodge other vehicles, the Subaru driver ends up sliding sideways through the grass. That lack of friction means that next to no speed is being scrubbed off. The inevitable, and sad trajectory is right into the side of the Ferrari. Ouch.

That’s sad, and here at 6SpeedOnline, we try to liven things up, and have a good time. So, to that end, how about we tell you a little joke, to wrap things up with a laugh?

Have you noticed the video is a little bit blurry? Us, too. In fact, it’s a bit hard to clearly see the Ferrari being smashed. So, how do we know it’s a 360 Challenge Stradale? Well, I guess you could say it was a real challenge to identify the Ferrari from this low-resolution 36o P vertical video. Yes, we can hear your collection groans from here. Thanks everybody, we’ll be here all night.
