John Hennessey Talks About the Venom
Over the last few years, in the tuner and aftermarket world, there has become a powerhouse within the industry. This one tuner alone has had more press than any of the others combined. I speak of course of Hennessey.
After starting out turbo-charging Vipers, then moving on to GM products, and now making just about anything that much more faster, the Hennessey name has never been more predominant.
However, that press is largely due to Hennessey’s own personal creation, the Venom GT. For those unfamiliar with the Venom GT, it’s essentially a heavily reworked Lotus Exige with a massive twin-turbo Corvette motor that makes 1,300 horsepower.
And thanks to that lightweight frame, the car can reach a blistering 270 mph. But there’s more to the story than just a big motor and lightweight car, and there’s more to the story of the man behind this company. Given that, XCar sat down with John Hennessey and discussed both the car and the company. Take a look.
