Hero in Nissan GT-R Passes 17 Racers on First Lap

This guy drives the pants off this GT-R!

The driver is Al Buncombe, racing with NISMO in the Blan Pain Endurance series. Veteran race fans will recognize that clusterfuck of a first corner as the initial turn at Monza. Anyone familiar with racing might be wondering why Al was so far back. Clearly this guy should’ve polled better if he’s cutting through traffic like they’re not even there. Here’s the full story fresh from the youtube comments:

I went out first in qualy and ended up having an intercooler fail so there was no boost. They finally got it fixed just in time for Alex to put in a lap but a Bentley crashed and red flagged the session and ended it without a proper fast lap in the books for us.

And so, Al started 32nd. One lap later, he was 13th. Not a bad way to start the season, eh? Watch this epic drive in the video below.
