Lamborghini Aventador S: The V12 Bull with an EGO
The Aventador S is the newest big V12 bull in the stable and now Lamborghini has given it an EGO. Will it be better than the competition?
The Lamborghini Aventador premiered in 2011 with a 700 horsepower mid-mounted V12. In 2016, Lamborghini gave us the Aventador SV pushing 741 horsepower from a V12. Now the Aventador S is upon us and it has a similar 740 horsepower. The S brings updated styling and for the first time ever, four wheel steering. Since Lamborghini is part of the VW group, who also owns Porsche and Audi. It is no surprise the big V12 bull received a system of its own. Porsche achieved great success adding the system to the 911, to effectively shorten the wheelbase of the car. Considering how huge the Aventador S is, anything to make it more nimble is a big improvement. This size comes from being the only car on the market with a mid mounted V12 and the contact patch needed to handle all 740 horsepower.

In addition to the four wheel steering, the Aventador S gets the addition of an EGO. No, we don’t mean the car is now a sentient being with a need to prove itself. Ego in this case stands for self, as in, the car allows you a personalized driving mode. So, you can now select the comfort steering and suspension with the aggressive throttle settings. This is a feature many manufactures overlook, when designing the driving modes. Just like our phones and pillow firmness, people like personalized options.
