Lamborghini Murcielago + Halal Chicken Cart NYC
What do Italian exotics and chicken have to do with each other?
Other than being two of my favorite things, probably nothing – besides the one serendipitous evening when Signature Car Collection decided to drive their Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 by NYC’s legendary Halal Cart on 53rd and 6th for some food. Naturally, considering the the matching yellow tones of both respective parties, a photo op ensued. Also, because viral.
Originally posted by the good people at Jalopnik, this story and following comment thread, was hilarious to me on multiple accounts.
- Nothing says baller like dropping a month’s paycheck on renting a track ready Murcialago, only to be completely outed of said title with the ostentatious branding and giant RENT ME slapped onto the front bumper. (I’ll assume the actual exotic rental fleet come sans branding).
- Driving your Italian exotic onto the sidewalk is perfectly legal in New York, as long as the hometown favorite Halal Guys have your back.
- Combing through Jalopnik’s comments section indicates there’s much tension on where the best Halal chicken actually is.
