Hundreds of industry experts gather at the Petersen to take a glimpse at the future of our cars and our cities.

It’s astounding to think about just how far we’ve come in terms of automotive technology in the last few decades. We’ve gone from a 100% analog driving experience to one ripe with computer-controlled driving aides. Obviously, some will sneer at the idea of letting a car do the driving for them. But it’s quite clear that major changes are on the horizon, regardless. Thus, the Petersen Automotive Museum hosts its Future of the Automobile conference each year to provide a glimpse into this brave new world.

This year’s event takes place May 3. It’s expected to draw over 300 industry experts, media, and engaged members of the public for a day-long series of discussions on the many technological, social, and economic challenges we face in the years to come. And what better place to do that than in the epicenter of transportation development – Los Angeles, California?

L.A. and the Sunshine State have long been at the forefront of autonomous, ride-sharing, and other transportation developments. Many of which eventually trickle down to the rest of the world. L.A., in particular, is undergoing quite a dynamic shift in urban landscape. Thus, the Petersen conference is a must-attend for everyone from auto industry execs to contractors and developers.

Tickets for the Future of the Automobile conference are available for $175 and can be purchased here. Or, you can bundle the event with the opening of the Hollywood Dream Machines exhibition the following day on May 4 for $200. Either way, you’re in for a fascinating day full of pertinent, valuable information. And that’s something that we can all certainly get behind, whether you prefer to drive yourself or not!
