Custom ordered conversion completely re-imagines Porsche 911 GT2 RS as a luxury racer instead of a track star. As a result, it looks fabulous.

As one of the most beloved nameplates in existence, the Porsche 911 represents so much to so many people. One particular owner combined his love for Ferrari and Porsche in a pretty epic way. In fact, although the work altered the 911 beyond what the company intended for that specific trim level, we’re pretty sure even Porsche wouldn’t be upset with the results.

Topaz Detailing recently completed the transformation. Founder Nabil Naamo guided viewers through their incredible work in a video on their YouTube page. Basically, the company outfitted the 911 according to the owner’s wishes. But what they wanted definitely hadn’t been done before.

911 Background

In factory form, a Porsche 911 GT2 RS is designed as a serious performance vehicle. The company created the trim as essentially the purest, race-ready 911 for buyers interested in taking their cars to the track. Porsche outfitted GT2 RS trimmed models with extremely lightweight materials. Those engineering decisions ensure the 700 horsepower 3.8 liter twin turbo 6 cylinder Boxer engine and 7-speed PDK transmission can move the 911 as quickly as possible. The owner appears to have ordered their GT2 RS with GT Silver Metallic paint. Additionally, the wheels were originally painted White Gold Metallic.

Interior and Exterior Transformation

Clearly, the owner desired something truly unique. Their one-of-a-kind request involved a complete repainting of the exterior. They also wanted the interior outfitted with far more luxurious materials than the stock setup. Porsche 911 GT2 RS buyers received a cabin designed, unsurprisingly, for weight savings. Equipped with the Weissach Package, this 911 came equipped with even lighter materials than regular GT2 RS models. But this project involved an extensive remodeling of everything, except the car’s mechanical components.

Not Messing Around

As part of the repaint process, Topaz Detailing removed all the components that required the new paint. They also heavily protected the parts that couldn’t be removed. The massive undertaking involved sanding off the old paint and respraying the new paint in its place. Speaking of that paint, the owner specified a particular color so it could match his Ferrari 488 Pista. In this absurdly amazing case, the color in question is Verde British. Aside from the all GT Silver Metallic Painted panels, the White Gold Metallic wheels also received the excellent green paint to match.

Extremely Impressive Results

Naamo expressed his intense enthusiasm for his team’s work. For good reason, because they accomplished an incredible feat. They expertly painted the 911 GT2 RS to look like it came from the factory outfitted in Verde British. “Honestly, it’s one of those cars that is a true 1 of 1,” says Naamo. The sheer effort required to obtain an OEM quality paint job, especially on something like this 911, is impressive.

Rebooted 911 Interior

We’re huge fans of the Verde British paint job. But they also upgraded the interior. The result in an incredibly classy cabin. “I can’t begin to explain to you the amount of leather that has been put into this car,” says Naamo. Porsche specialists adorned nearly every interior trim piece in Ferrari leather. “The stalks, the indicator stalks, are covered in leather. And they’ve got the stamps exactly the same as what they use at the factory,” says Naamo. Topaz Detailing accomplished something noteworthy here.

Count us as major fans of this transformation. Make sure to watch the video to get the whole idea of what transpired. Hopefully, more deep pocketed performance car owners will copy what this owner wanted.
