Porsche 911 GT3 RS Unleashed on Nürburgring Nordschleife

By -

Perfect car, perfect view, and the perfect track epitomize the 911 GT3 RS Nurburgring driving experience.

For most of us, it’s a dream to drive around the Nürburgring Nordschleife. The Green Hell has vexed some of the greatest drivers of all time. And for a fee, you can take any car onto the track on one of its public days. But let’s be honest, it probably won’t be what you expect. Don’t get us wrong, the circuit lives up to the hype. It’s just that one too many track days go wrong there. And unless you’re pretty well off, you probably won’t be doing it in a Porsche 911 GT3 RS

YouTube channel “//” has to be one of the more cryptic car channels on YouTube. All it is are dash-view videos of incredibly hot Porsches running hot laps at some of Europe’s finest tracks. And in this latest video, a GT3 RS chews up the scenery (and the pavement) on a very fast lap around The Green Hell.

There’s no speaking in this video. We don’t know the name of the driver or his passenger. But we do get a look at some very skilled driving. And a lot of eye candy. There are a number of other 911s, as well as Renaults, Fiats, some motorcycles, a vintage Mercedes-AMG, and a Jaguar XJR Race Taxi. Yes, a race taxi.

In the brief description of this video, the only information we get on this lap is that the XJR belongs to Dale Lomas of Bridge to Gantry. On top of their YouTube channel, Bridge to Gantry runs a pretty comprehensive news site on all things ‘Ring. It also offers ride-alongs in some incredibly hot Jaguars. In the video, we see the company’s XJR absolutely tearing it up around the track.

So if you aren’t going to Southern Germany anytime soon, enjoy this video. And if you are but can’t afford a hot car to run your own laps, consider one of the many race taxis that operate at the ‘Ring. It looks like the ride of a lifetime.
