Did Porsche Ruin the Panamera 4S with a V6?

After reading the title above, you may think to yourself, “No, they ruined it by designing it to be hideous.” Yes, the Panamera (if I may use an old Clarkson reference) looks like a Chihuahua taking a crap. For crying out loud, a Porsche 911 crossbred with a Citroën DS looks better than the Panamera. Woeful looks aside, Porsche’s four-door sedan has been a remarkable car, especially with a V8 engine under its hood.

For 2014, Porsche has dropped the 4.8L V8 engine in the Panamera S and 4S. Taking the V8’s place is a twin-turbo 3.0L V6 that may have 20 more horsepower (420) and 15 more pound-feet of torque (384) than the outgoing naturally aspirated V8, but have the Panamera S models lost a bit of soul with the double cylinder-ectomy?
