Saleen Officially Developing Electric Car Project

It would a little bit disheartening to think of Saleen as an electric car manufacturer… Were the year 2000. Truth is, it’s nearly 2014. Electric cars aren’t just four door golf carts anymore. No, instead electric powertrains have steadily wormed their way in to the realm of the performance car. The Porsche 918? The McLaren P1? The BMW i8? Tesla? That list is only going to get longer as the years go on. If the Model S can hang with a Viper in the quarter mile, I can only imagine the kind of performance from a purpose built sports car.
