SEMA 2013: Blue Chrome Lamborghini Aventador in the Seibon Carbon Booth

You know the commercials where that uber-sad Sarah McLachlan song plays while a slideshow of abused animal pictures flickers across the screen? Oh course you do.

For anyone with a sympathetic cell in their body, they’re painful to watch. And for the most part, that’s what it’s like seeing exotics at SEMA. But instead of cramped cages and matted fur, it’s terrible paint jobs and wheels. Some of the rims I’ve seen here could be used to induce vomiting, and when you consider that they’re not just garish and outrageously expensive, but that they also effectively neuter some of the most athletic machines ever built, it can be hard to walk through the wheel and tire hall without being overcome by sadness. Or rage.

So what you see before you is one of the rarest sites at SEMA—it’s an exotic that’s been  modified and looks wicked. From what I understand, applying this colored chrome finish is painstaking and next to impossible to get right. One of the dudes setting up told me it was finished four days ago, and by SEMA show car standards, that’s an eternity of extra time. Bravo Seibon, you did good by this Raging Bull. Enjoy the pics.
