I recently purchased a 2019 Aston Martin DB11 V12 that was repossessed, and several of the airbags had been deployed prior to my ownership. I’ve since replaced the pyrotechnic fuse at the battery, and I now have power to both the cabin and exterior lighting.

However, the vehicle will not start. There is no response from the starter—no clicks or cranking. I’ve cleared all stored fault codes, but one code consistently returns: U116987 (Vehicle Theft Alarm Sensor Module).

When attempting to start the car using the push-button, I receive a “Insert Key” message. I’ve also tried using the emergency key multiple times, but it does not enable the vehicle to start. The key fob battery is new, and the fob functions properly for locking/unlocking the doors and opening the trunk.

Any insight or guidance on resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
