“No Style” is the Perfect Name for This Car
Let me start off by saying that Matt Farah has been very kind to me, he’s run my stuff more than once. He’s also a really chill dude who is awesome to hang out with. That said, I’D KILL HIM TO DRIVE THIS, I’M SO JEALOUS RIGHT NOW!
This ladies and gentlemen is a 1975 Toyota Corolla. In ’75 it was the pinnacle of reliability. Thirty-nine years have passed though, and that car is pretty much just worth scrap. That is unless you let a movie production guy at one with a hammer and a blow torch.
Then you get this. It’s still a ’75, but it has a Lexus 1UZ V8 strapped to the chassis. And for more power, because there is no such thing as too much, a supercharger from a Mustang slapped directly on top of the block.
It’s wonderful. It’s menacing. It’s going to kill you and that’s why you should love it. It looks like something out of Mad Max. And it was pretty much designed to be that way.
The project build name is “No Style” meaning that everything is there for a reason, nothing was done to make it aesthetically pretty, pure function over form. It’s awesome.
