TheSUPERCARDRIVER, as his name implies, profiles and drives the most exotic sheetmetal on four wheels. His Nurburgring videos are genuinely insane, as the seemingly fearless driver pushes these very expensive cars hard, in a way that would make most owners squeamish. We love it.

Today is special look into the ultimate collection of exotic cars as owned by Khalid Mohammed Abdulrahim, a Bahraini magnate, and massive car enthusiast who actually drives these cars as they were intended to be used. This “tour” guided by Michael from the UK’s leading super car dealer: Roman’s International, who helps give context on how someone can acquire these vehicles.

The physical details of the cars of the cars are stunning, but the stories behind them are even more fascinating. This film profiles the individual stories behind some of the cars in this collection, including a Ferrari Enzo; Maserati MC12; McLaren F1; Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR, and Porsche 911 GT1.

The story of the Enzo-based MC12 playing second fiddle to the Ferrari is an interesting anecdote considering it’s hyper exotic looks, and that the Maserati is the actual GT1 race car for the road.

Up next is the story of the McLaren F1, which has quite a storied history, having started off in Japan, only to go back “home” to Woking for an intensive restoration, to the tune of £200,000, which included a powertrain rebuild and repaint from the original silver color to black. Michael advises that if this car is to be sold for a massive profit, that the owner may consider sending it back to McLaren and having it refinished in the original silver.

The CLK GTR is one of 25 and ultimate expression of 1990’s Mercedes racing fanaticism. The rather bizarre options selected for the car (spare seats and luggage) are a nice touch in what is otherwise a wicked GT car. Said seats are fixed for the purposes of weight distribution and interior comforts were clearly not a priority.

Last, but certainly not least in the Porsche 911 GT1, “prototype” chassis 002. A car, which, despite it’s outrageous looks, is 996-based and retains many of the interior appointments of the street car, which is a fun juxtaposition considering it’s devilish looks and aerodynamic trickery.

Have any favorites? Personally, the CLK GTR is just the absolute business as far as I am concerned. Sign me up.

He enjoys track days, drifting, and autocross, at least, when his cars are running right, which is uncommon.
