Watch the GT4 Hit 62 Faster Than You Can Think
While the new Porsche Cayman GT4 has only been out for a mere matter of days, it’s already racked up quite a bit of press and videos detailing the ridiculous nature it has.
The new car invokes a sense of speed that takes quite a bit out of the sails of a standard 911. And that’s not hard to see why since it’s really a 911 fighter itself.
With an engine plucked straight out of a 911, the new Cayman GT4 uses a 3.8L flat-six that makes a ridiculous 380 horsepower. It also weighs considerably less than a 911. But what does that mean in terms of acceleration.
For a baseline, the standard Cayman GTS runs to 62 mph in just 4.8 seconds. The new GT4? 4.4 seconds. That’s unbelievably quick, but saying all this and you reading it doesn’t really showcase this car’s true outright speed enough.
