European motor journalist Harry Metcalfe takes us along for a ride showcasing the 2016 UK Lamborghini Countach tour. For this years tour, they drove through the most beautiful parts of the British countryside, and also stopped in Rockingham raceway. Along the drive, Harry lets us know about the peculiarities of his particular car. His is converted to electronic ignition, which does nothing more than help alleviate the car from acting up when you least expect it.
Once parked for lunch, he begins to explain the details of the other cars in the brigade. There’s actually some quite varied differences between them, and that’s not just because some have a wing and others don’t. For instance, the anniversary edition Countach was the first to receive upgraded bumpers, and also features prominent side-skirts. Other earlier Countach models were known as “round belly” models, without any side skirts.
We’re even let in on a secret fun trick that current Countach owners play on the public. Two of the owners shown in this video have admitted to bringing their car to kit-car car shows to see how many people can discern if they were real or not. That must be fun to see all the people guessing!
