Boost leak?
Boost leak?
Took her out today, drove her hard, boosting 1.1, 1.2. Ran her up to 140, she was boosting 1.2 steady, then gradually when I ran her through the gears again, she was struggling to get past .8. Run her 1st through 3rd (redline) she is hitting .6 at 4500 rpm, .8, .9 at redline. WTF!!! I guess when the engine was put back in after the clutch and FW, something wasn't torqued completely or clamped down firm.
I never had any problem with the car for almost 2 years of ownership, until a human hand made an appearance.
Other than a boost leak, what could it be? Sometimes the turbo thing pisses me off.
I keep thinking about buying a Viper and doing some simple bolt on mods. (600 to 650 HP to the wheel?) No more turbos, wastgates, intercoolers, DV's, nothing, just cubic inches. I think I could probably get this one for somewhere in the high 80's. Someone hurry and talk me out of it.

I found the culprit, my EVO wastegate rod snapped. Has anyone besides Cohare had this problem? Man, anything you put on this thing that isn't stock can can give you problems. Is anyone from EVO on the forum? I think they owe me a new wastegate.

Well he got one of the few. I've seen several at the track and it's always two laps and drive through pits. While I agree that they are fast, it's essentially a kit car and feels like it. Paltry compared to a Viper.
Since his car is modded, I'd take an 08 with a few bolt ons over that car all day. And dont even mention the ACR.
