Sad News about OUR ben lj, Ben Keatons.......

It has now been roughly 24 hours since I first read of this terrible incident, and I am still numb. I never met Ben, but we traded PM's and I looked forward to accepting his invitation to meet up during his planned trip to Monterey in August. That he has touched so many with the generosity of his spirit, that he is so admired and respected by so many accross thousands of miles, speaks volumes about the character of the man.

I was looking in the off topic section and saw all the avitars, It took me a second to figure out what happened and they I could not believe it. I hope God is watching over his family and helps them through this. He was a wonderful man and a person we can all strive to be like.

i am so saddened by this.
i just met him this weekend.
as we're walking out of ruby's, i said to Arling, "so where's this ben fella with the cgt?" Ben was walking along on the other side of arling, and he introduced himself to me. we talked briefly, and i thought ' what a nice guy
'
it was nice being able to link that person to all his posts and help i've been reading for the past year.... and to see him drive that cgt around....
god bless him and his family.

Why do I feel strangely responsible for selling him the tires last month that couldn't hold on, that could not keep him away from that wall...........
