997.1 clutch swap

This is a real basic question. Can you do a clutch swap on a 997.1 (2008) TT without dropping the motor?

Thanks.

NO direct experience but my 2003 996 Turbo has had its 6-speed out twice now with the engine remaining in the car.

The engine has to be supported. See pic.

Tech always replaces the needle bearings/dust caps/seals/etc associated with the clutch control lever and the metal o-rings that seal the turbo and the exhaust manifold. These should not be reused.
