2004 C4S coupe interior lights only go off when I lock the car

 

Isn't that normal?

When I get out of either of my cars until I lock the car the interior lights stay on. I haven't bothered to stand there and time the lights to see how long it takes for the lights to go out on their own. I suspect the Boxster lights might go out pretty quickly but I know the Turbo electronics stay "alive" at least 3 minutes after shutting off the engine and the lights might stay on that long or longer.

 

my 10 997.2 TT does the same thing.. I've quit watching and simply walk away. Be sure to check that your overhead light switches are in the middle position.
