Not really a surprise, but this makes 3 in a row for Porsche scoring the highest in the JPD IQS (initial quality survey).
It's always good to see what would be considered a "sporty" brand that can still maintain quality and customer satisfaction...
Check this graph out... I'm surprised how high Mercedes and Jaguar are and how low Nissan, Subaru, and some others are...

Any thoughts?

Highlights of the Study
For the fourth time in the last five years, Porsche led the overall nameplate rankings, averaging 83 pp100.
"Their vehicles are just very high-quality," Sargent says. "The 911 has been strong for decades, frankly. The new Panamera does extremely well. It is tied for highest-quality all-new vehicle this year with the Honda Accord Crosstour." Considering how their cars perform, that is a pretty impressive achievement. "It's not easy to get both sides of the equation as right as that," Sargent says. "Some manufacturers can produce high-quality vehicles that aren't exciting, while others can get it the other way around. But to get both is clearly what Porsche was aiming at, and they achieved it."

i wouldnt trust Jd POWER since it's just another stats report and ranking.
infiniti is definitely not a high quality brand and shouldn't be on the top. look at a 5+ year old infiniti, they ususally fall apart.

The manufacturers take ICS very seriously. But note this is INITIAL quality - you were in great shape when you graduated from high school too, but what happened to some of those handsome and fit guys and gals 5 - 10 years later! (those of you that went to your 10 year reunion know what I am talking about!)
So ICS is an off-the-line indicator, but the real deal is how the car lasts after 3 - 5 years and more. And that is why people that value quality keep coming back to Toyota and Honda for daily drivers.
