87-89 Carrera - rear spoiler removal?

I am in the market for a late 80s Carrera, but I don't care for the rear spoilers on some I see. Does anyone know if this is easy to remove? Or are there extra holes through the lid?

Worst case, I can source a new rear deck lid but then I would probably have to get it painted, etc.

Thanks.

There will be holes n the deck lid for the wing mount. The wing/spoilers are easy to remove. But if you want one w/out a wing or spoiler, I would source another rear deck.
