My '87 Targa with Fabspeed

All:

Here are 2 quick (poor quality) vids that give you a glimpse into what I consider to be an awesome sound on this Targa. I have the Fabspeed Sport Cup exhaust and Sport Cat installed.

I'll try to get some drive-by footage.

Sounds great!
When you say "Sport Cup Exhaust", what parts are you referring to? An exhaust system runs from the headers, to the cats, to the mufflers, then out the tailpipes. Which parts have you swapped out?

I have an '87 coupe and am running cat bypass pipes (no catalytic converter), and it sounds glorious. I will have to temporarily re-instal the cat for it's final emissions test, this March. After that, it's next emissions test would be March 2012, at which point the car will be 25 years old, and in Georgia, will be emissions laws exempt!

CATTMAN -- I forgot to congrats you on your Targa -- Congrats!!

The Sport Cup Exhaust replaces the stock muffler. I went with the Fabspeed Maxflo Muffler but it was too tame. Fabspeed recently developed this Sport Cup muffler which is similar to a muffler bypass, but has some "tubing" and bends that gives it an awesome sound.

I envy your geography as the Pittsburgh winters will shut down my Targa fun (but I'll take her out once a week or so to keep her in good running order).

Ah, I see, thanks!
I am running the stock muffler, but cat bypass pipes, and it sounds fantastic. I don't think I'll tinker with it unless I have to.

By the way, my '87 is a coupe, not a Targa. I love the look of those classic targas, but I can't stand sun in my eyes- I never even open the sunroof!
