Soliciting Opinion on Condition of 911 SC Engine

Hi,

This is my first time starting a thread... I am considering the purchase of a 1983 911 SC. I am soliciting input from the forum for your opinion of the vehicle's engine condition base solely on the enclosed image of the car's underside. The owner's picture contains no references to the condition of the engine nor any upgrades/maintenance on the car. Tried to speak with the seller but unable to so far due to the holiday.

Looking at the picture, it is obvious the engine leaks oil. The oil leak seems to be sprayed in a V-shaped pattern that spreads over the heat exchange. From the picture, where do you think the leak is coming from and what type of work needs to be done on the engine to stop the leak and how much would it cost to repair?

Thanks!
Happy Holidays.
Matt
