I was a member years ago when I had my 2000 Boxster and then 2003 911 but let it lapse when I got rid of the cars. I joined the BMWCCA when I got my Z4 and 1974 2002. Now I'll cancel the BMWCCA and rejoin the PCA.

I'm guessing they are 18s. Did the original owner say why the rear bumper is a different color? It doesn't look bad, just noticed it with the other photos and was wondering if there was a reason.

Beauty! Can I ask what sources you used when looking for the car? I"m searching for a SC and so far have looked through PCA forums, Hemmings, autotrader etc.

Any suggestions? I'm looking for a driver (probably not going to be as pristine as yours) with preference to the post-galvanized models.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks. I was looking for about 6 weeks. I had made an offer on a 87 Targa and was due to pick it up until I stumbled upon this one. 136,650 miles on it when I bought it,

I actually utilized all the sources you referenced as well. Try the pelican parts classifieds. I was going to buy an 87 Targa I found on craigslist but ended up getting my 83 on eBay of all places. I just looked on eBay on a lark the day before I was to get the Targa, and was like holy cow!!! The guy was local, had done insane upgrades and had all receipts dating back to 83. He was the original owner, a PCA driving instructor as well as a Jet plane mechanic. Couldn't believe my luck. The auction had just begun and had 7 days remaining. There were a few bids, but I just did buy it now and paid the asking price. The car was worth far more than asking, I couldn't believe people were bidding instead of buying it out right.

The rear bumper is a lightweight fiberglass bumper for racing.
