Porsche's 965: The V8 911



Porsche never built a V8 911, but they could have. In fact, they sorta did. You'll just never get to see it outside of their museum. Derek wrote it up for the blog here.

Remember the Porsche 959 from the 1980s? That beast was so popular it almost made the automaker completely change the 911′s performance DNA in order to offer customers a more affordable successor to it.
