Barn find! Need help with making decision
Hey guys,
I found a 1967 Porsche 912 with what looks to be a flat 6 swap. The bumpers and flares seem to be aftermarket if anyone knows please let me know. The guy is selling to me for $7500 as is. The story is that the gentleman’s uncle passed away and left him the car. He states it was running in 2011 before it sat in his yard for the other 7 years. The car is in rough shape. I would like to know if I am making a mistake buying it. I was planning on wrenching a little by myself to see if she fires up but I don’t want to make an investment that I’ll end up losing at the end. Thanks thoughts please!

You could probably part is out for more than $7500. The 2.0T motor isn't worth too much, but the carbs could be if they are in ok shape. Are the flares steel? They look pretty well done and don't have cracking even after sitting outside which makes them seem to be of good quality (for resale, etc.).
Are you looking for a stock car, restoration?

the car is a money pit.
not much really worth talking about for parts..... 67 912 tub and title is not worth much.
All the flares and bumpers are not worth much either....
T motor is not in high demand.
Walk away from this one.
