1982 porsche 924????

I am currently going to trade my 1977 triumph spitfire for a 1982 Porsche 924. the guy said the car has 52xxx original miles on it. i was wondering if there was something to look for when getting one, or if there is a way to tell if the tack has rolled over. just wanting some suggestion. anything will help thanks guys.

It's pretty straight forward.

Look for inconsistancies at the door seams (along the roof, and front fenders).

Check the opening and closing action on the rear glass. When it latches, it should be light effort, solid clicking, and lock down immediately.

Stand at the rear of the car and look down the side. Look for body molding lining up properly. Look at reflections in the paint. Notice any warpage in the flat parts of the panel.

Transmission. Do the gears engage easily and completely? Is there any problem finding reverse?

Motor. Does it start easily? Idle cleanly? Accelerate smoothly?

Ask for records. If all else fails, do a PPI with a trusted Porsche mechanic.

Good Luck to ya!
