Have you seen it in the flesh? Get it inspected?
My 85's been garaged for 90% of its life and looks real pretty, but doesn't mean its in good mechanical/electrical shape. :->
(Seriously, not to sound like an ***.. I looked at 2 white automatic 78's this week that both ran, but one was $500 and the other $5000. Both fair prices for each.)

Anywhere from $2k to $7k, depending on condition & if its what you want.

What he said ^.
Depending on the car, you could easily duplicate the purchase price in making it "right", if it's too cheap.

Car was a rat. Ugly teal paint with the biggest spoiler I have ever seen. Ground effects very poorly done. What a waist of my time. The miles were legit it's just a shame the car was ruined.

I purchased a 82 5 speed a few months ago for $3000.00. It came with one banker box of receipts, 2 owner very clean inside and out. Always garaged. It was time for the water pump and timing belt to be changed. Car was listed for $5000.00 but got it for $3000.00 because it was time to change the water pump.
