Porsche Heritage - the almighty 935 K3
Since this place is a mecca for horsepower lovers I figured we'd see who knows what about these amazing beasts. By far the most beautiful bodies ever to grace the IMSA series of the past.
I declare this thread a pic thread for the 935 K3's and all their variations.
3.2 liters, 2 turbos 2,200lbs and over 850bhp at 1.2 bar...

That's awesome, one of these days I need to make it to a RR gathering. This car is my inspiration for the next level of my car...

I believe this is the late Bob Akins /Fabcar built 935 circa 1983, after 82 many racers started building their own 935's with even higher rear rooflines + higher and longer tails, al la K4 types
I was lucky enough to have worked for Bob Akin and with the great Brian Redman

Do you have an easy source for the differences between the Fabcar cars and the factory cars?

Fabcar v factory
As far as I am aware most if not all Fabcar 935's were tube frame / spaceframed cars, using just the A - B - C pillars & roof section of a 911, where as the factory cars were based on 930 monoque with bolt in Aluminium roll cages, so hence heavier. Fabcar etc were built when the US rules were relaxed to allow prototype cars which led to the spaceframe versions which are sometimes referd to K4 verisons. I.E. Kremer - Momo - Akin's Coke a Cola - Swap Shop - JLP etc. Photos of JLP's K4 Fabcar
