Cloth seat restoration

My 944S has the sport seats, which include a "Porsche" logo on the cloth inserts. The seats are in fantastic condition, so I don't want to do anything radical. However, the top of the rear seats and the bottom of the fronts are slightly sun faded, from black to gray. Does anyone have experience with "spot dying" these or other seats? I've seen the "spray on" dyes discussed on the web, but it seems like a good upholstery shop would have a better technique.

Anyone with experience?

I think it's really going to be hard to do the spot dying technique with a faded area. I have a feeling your best bet is going to an upholstery shop and have them do the whole thing, so it's even. Let us know what you end up doing. Hopefully someones else will chime in that's done it before.
