The next issue is its cost of converting to EFI and possibly hurting the re-sale value of a 3.6. The 3.3 is a better platform to start with as the re-sale will not be hurt as bad (in some cases enhanced).
As for HP gains with EFI, it is limited to what you want to spend. I think Christian is pushing 550+ HP (at 1 bar) and my car was at 625+ (at 1.25 bar). I have a 3.4L (yellowbird specs) now with 7.5:1 compression (stock is 7:1). My goal is 700+ maybe going twin turbo. It is currently running single.
