suspension upgrade 964 C4
suspension upgrade 964 C4
Any suggestion on suspension upgrades on 1990 carrera 4? bilstein shock with H & R springs? will that drop the car to low and give it a hard ride? Any body have this set up, pros and cons.
First - there are volumes on this on Rennlist...
I'll give what appears to be the favorites:
Bilsteins with H&R "greens" - softest of the upgrades, but not necessarily soft. "Reds" are the turbo springs and are slightly stiffer. Cost - around $1K in parts
From there, you go to full system setups - most are have adjustability (Comp / rebound) and come as a shock spring package. Prices start around $2800.00 for all four and go up from there. The consensus is that among these you mostly get what you pay for - with MOTONs being top-of-the-line...
There is also Factory upgrades - in the form of Factory RS parts that are still avail. Springs, shocks, sways, as well as some monoball and harder bushings that will sharpen the handling/ride.
Hope this helps
