1991 964 Alpine Radio

Need a little help.
The Alpine radio in my 964 died and I want to replace it with the same stock radio. The old radio had a capacitor leak and damage the printed circuit board and cannot be repaired.
Where can I find one?

Thank you,

Way2Chzy

I am not aware of any Alpine offered as a factory radio for the 964 I know the 1994/95 928GTS received one. IIRC the 964's all received either the CR-1 or CD-2 radio. Both of this were made by blaupunkt and were honestly crappy radios. The CD2 was slightly better but not by much. I have switched mine out with Nakamichi units that look very close to stock and sound far better.

You can always try places like LA dismantlers or german imported parts.

Thank you for the info!
Your right it is a CD-2, my local dealer shipped it to Alpine Electronics to unlock the radio code and repair it, so I assumed it was an Alpine.
I will look into the Nakamichi radio and see if that looks good.
Just trying to stay as stock as technically possible.

This is in my 928GTS and i have the same unit for my turbo. Very nice sound no power amp needed. Not exactly stock but most people wouldn't know. You can always save the CD-2 and try to find someone to repair it.
