To me, looks like they have reverted back to 996 styling.....meaning if I were to look in my review mirror while this vehicle was approaching me, I wouldn't be able to identify it....Boxster, Cayman, or Turbo???

Thanks for posting nonetheless.

Bluehinder 05-04-2013 11:37 AM

Is this platinum silver? Someone mentioned it was polar silver. Can't tell from the photos.

Dark Knight 05-04-2013 04:04 PM

Is that a glass or carbon roof on the S model?

PT Doc 05-04-2013 08:42 PM

Ft lights look better on the no turbo 991.exahust tips could use some more attention. It will be a monster though.

Enilder 05-04-2013 09:12 PM

Something looks odd in the rear. Rear spoilers?

TT Surgeon 05-05-2013 03:28 PM

I think it's rhodium silver.

Are you saying that the second pic is a 996? Looks like a 997 to me.

AJag 05-24-2013 08:23 AM

Interesting how the different daytime running LEDs for the turbo give the front a more narrow look, which exaggerates the wider rear even more. Not sure how I feel about that.

TwinTurboM3 05-24-2013 01:58 PM

991 TT is definetely "technologically" improved and more refined compared to 997 TT.

But I still do not find the 991 TT much different in terms of looks compared to 997 TT.

991 TT looks like a facelifted 99 TT:)

stunning car. i see chemtrails. welcome to the new normal.

Rolled_Out 06-01-2013 07:28 AM

Also... unmasked!

ALPINE6SPD 07-02-2013 09:58 AM

Side vent looks much nicer/cleaner without line through it and the front without the little fog light is much cleaner looking than old 997T front bumper. Just my opinion. To me without questions this is the best looking turbo/turbo S since the 993.

Amaranth Red?

jasonrhcastle 07-09-2013 06:35 PM

Damn you...I wish I had seen this photo before my order locked!

:)

I love that metallic red!

I will just have to learn to love my white.

White looks better than that red don't worry. White is so classic. I also think the beige interior is killing the look of the red. Black would look so much better but still white is a better choice IMO.

eddtiff 07-09-2013 07:27 PM

I agree, I am going for white too. That red looks stunning only in certain conditions, like when its not too sunny and when its ultra clean and shiny. When it gets dirty, it just doesn't look so good anymore...

TT Gasman 07-19-2013 03:28 PM

Why can't it just say "Turbo" on the back? The overly busy model designation on the rear looks tacky.

rvhpno80 07-26-2013 02:17 PM

This is going to be one amazing car......

Spy Video: Porsche 911 Turbo CONVERTIBLE - 991 series

Hi all,

just enjoy this Spy Video of the new Porsche 911 Turbo CONVERTIBLE - 991 series:

911driver 09-25-2013 11:52 PM

It looks too civilized, too rounded, almost like a Turbo version of Cayman more than 911. Ok, I'm exaggerating but just to make a point that if this is the finished product, it doesn't have the cool aggressive look of the new 991 GT3.

997TT has a more established presence than the new 991. I'm sure technically it is superior but I can't say the same thing for the looks.

phdesignonline 09-26-2013 05:59 AM

Awesome Car!

I wish they could have done something more imaginative with the rear bumper vent. Looks too much like:

When GT2/RS comes out, people will realize how well positioned is new Turbo/S!

If you want all-around turbo charged sports car, take Turbo/S - you can go with this car on business meetings, on Nordshliefe to track it, and later you can put snowboard on its roof and drive to St Moritz :) If you are Autobahn freak, take GT2/RS, if you are track freak take GT3/RS.

What he said!

2fas4u 11-23-2013 07:56 PM

This is nice as a cayman turbo! I realize cars change but the 911 always looked different from the boxster and cayman until now it's morphing guys and who knows where it'll end?

to each his own, I suppose. The rear vent is my favorite feature.
