991TT is infamous around these parts
i found something interesting

i spec a 991 turbo with same options as my tts

the gap in price is 1700 kuwaiti Dinar thats like 6000$

and for that i get 40hp + 40 Nm

so its good deal to get the tts not the normal tt

only thing is u must have the PCCB on TTS ... and im scared from that thing ...

what you guys think about PCCB
i read somewhere they arent good in rain ,,, its not like we have alot in rain here in kuwait lool

how long they last i ??

Thats not a bad deal. I mean taking out PCCB from equation (which most people would do when speccing a turbo) changes the game significantly, but its good to know that im getting back something for the extra dough im paying.

From what I have been hearing PCCBs are not good when wet, but as you said thats not much of an issue in this neck of the woods. They do tend to squeal as well (ive been through my share of that with the steel ones on my 997tt, cant imagine how much worse this could be).

Alot of people enjoy and use them up (which, unless you manage to crack a rotor or track it extensively, could take you years) and then replace them with steel ones, thereby avoiding the high replacement cost.

I havent done it personally, so dont quote me on this one, but i dont see any reason why it wont fit, if you are replacing the whole brake rotors and pads. Maybe other members on the forum may be able to chime in with their experiences. From what I have read, the dealers are reluctant to do it, but you can get it done outside. That said, Im pretty sure there are replacement aftermarket steel (and ceramic) ones out there that will fit just fine.

I just put my order in yesterday, and will have the first one from my dealer in Atlanta.

Congrats on your future TTS. The car will be amazing. In regards to your option i would cancel the seat heater. ( no rain and super hot ) lol . I would consider add some stitches and carbon

as far as PCCB they are totally worth it for someone not into serious racing or many track days. They last 3-5 times more than normal pads. Also no brake dust. The only disadvantage for me is the cost of changing the desk whenever it is due.

good point on the TT price with TTS options. I have been telling this to all my friends. It is the same as cayenne S with GTS option the difference not even $4k

it is possible, but why would you do it ? If you don't plan to track your car a lot and No high mileage on the car, i would consider it lifetime brakes

It only comes with the ventilated seats option (which you pay for).

My understanding is that it is a Porsche NA issue. I think it was similar to the C4S last year. No release until Porsche wants to launch the cars.

The wait will be somewhat bad, as it always is. However, I waited 6 months for my California, and I am not selling her until after summer.

I am sort of doubly screwed for waiting game as I am also trading the Panamera GTS back to a Cayenne turbo as well. She will be here late October, early November.
