No Turbo for me
Having driven the PDK and now a manual I much prefer the manual. I was hoping that I would be offered on the new Turbo... A great disappointment...
Do you folks think it will be offered? BMW did the same thing and switched back with the M5 or do they think we are too old to drive a manual?

The PDK mated to the Turbo engine gives such a huge performance advantage that if one wants a manual he's got to opt for a 991S . Even that manual is a 7 speed and even in that car I would probably opt for PDK .
If one wants a true 6 speed manual there is the new redesigned Boxster S and I wil pound the pavement and say it is such an improvement over the last gen that on my test drive last week i bought the car and have had an absolute blast in it .
Buy a Boxster S and you'll have a big smile on your face , can still keep your turbo and preseve it, and you'll save 100 grand !!
I had considered a 991 turbo but am leaning towards waiting a few years until a used CPO is cheap . As it is 2012 -13 Original MSRP 120K 991S cars are selling in the 80's CPO and I find the depreciation on them somewhat of a shock compared to previous 911 cars .
In my opinion the idea of losing 40K + in only one year on a 991 Turbo S is enough to say this car buying thing can get old .
