Also, by the time you factor in the chip cost and exhaust, equally equipped, you are at even money.

I'm looking forward to seeing some real world testing #'s on these cars before I decide what I'm going to do. I love my TTS, but there is heavy competition out there. Just spent a week at the Corvette plant for work, although I'm not in love with the outside (it is growing on me), the base car is a beast & interior is close to world class. Completely different audience I agree, but a $60k Vette is lapping VIR faster than a $400k LFA, you gotta love the era we are living in. Seems we are pushing the laws of physics...I'm currently leaning though towards the GT3RS next vs. another TTS...but damn that boost is addicting.

I think the GT3 would be awesome, let alone a GT3RS. I just can't do it because my kids loving going with me in daddy's fast car!

Real world numbers and exhaust clips will be good when they start trickling out.

For that big of a delta, you are getting a base turbo, which is still an AMAZING car. But, for someone who wants specific options, upgrades, etc (Burmester, PCCBs, extra power, model specifics) the price is very easily justified.

I don't also believe a "chip and exhaust" will toast a turbo S. It may beat it, but it won't "toast it".

Never have figured out what the point of posts like yours are, but the above just represents my opinion.

Totally agree with you here J. When similarly equipped the price difference is not significant at all and secondly, the Porsche warranty is easily worth 7-8K for me.

I know that modding shouldn't void the warranty, but it won't be easy trying to convince Porsche to pay for a major repair when your car is modded. So having that piece of mind in the Turbo S easily pays for the difference.

Back to the original topic, I am being offered a 4.5% discount on a turbo order who has allocation. Is anyone seeing more than that? I originally went in to order a 991 4s, but when I picked my options, I thought maybe I should get the turbo. They offered the same discount.
