Alcantara Wheels - Question!

Hi guys

Just picked up my 991TT from the dealers after fitting my alcantara wheel.

2 things I noticed:

(1) Came in red stitching (I prefer yellow or plain if available) - so they are checking for me since my car is Racing Yellow (they had ordered the wheel against the vehicle chassis no. and Porsche sent them one with red stitching). Anyone have alcantara wheels with different stitching??

(2) The wheel doesn't read "Sport" or "Sport Plus" on the sides in the black areas. Does this only work on the leather sport design wheels and not the alcantara sport design wheels? You should even vaguely see the wording in the background even when they are not "lit" up when Sport or Sport Plus are selected. When I look at it its just black. Can anyone on here confirm?

Attached is a pic I took earlier today (NOTE - I'm in Sport mode here but there's no display).

Tks!

JB

That's not right...you should take it back to the dealer. I have the same steering wheel but no contrast stitching...simply Alcantara with black stitching and the black areas work normally...sport and sport plus light up when enabled on the left and launch control lights up on the right when in that mode.

Wish I had the red stitching! I have the red seat belts so it would accent that well but I didn't spec out my car...it was a in stock unit so no contrast stitching for me! But I do agree that having yellow dials and a yellow car it would of been better to have black or yellow stitching!

Thanks for this. Very informative. I told my sales rep that I want them to change it to either a yellow stitching or plain black. He said he will arrange. I got annoyed because I waited a while and was very much looking forward. Here's a night shot...You can see on the bottom right sport plus is activated but the steering wheel displays nothing.

Yeah...they definitely messed something up with the install!

I'm sure it's an easy fix.
