getting creative with 991 style
getting creative with 991 style
Hi all,
First post as I'm new to the board and eagerly awaiting my TTS cab in september
The car will be being wrapped Carmine red on arrival.
In anticipation, I have been photoshopping some planned mods - excuse the shoddy photoshop work ut let me know your thoughts;
1) Carmine red wrap (the photoshop is a guards car I tweaked)
2) Wheels painted (or dipped maybe) black gloss
3) side skirts wrapped to match body
4)big mouth - centre of bumper wrapped black to create a gaping GT style illusion
5) side Turbo air ducts wrapped gloss black
6) front bumper plastic areas below headlight wrapped polished black
7) Techart style headlight surrounds in body colour (top photo only)
And yes, I have done a terrible botch job converting this coupe to a cab in PS

Look forward to your thoughts guys

I did spec the car to order
here in the UK, black wheels aren't an option for one piece rims (not sure about elsewhere)
As for colour - price and delivery time! plus If I wrap, I can have it removed and have black (spec'd colour) for second half of the time I have the car if I wish
cost to get carmine red on 991 from porsche;
£2,700 paint
£400 side skirts painted
+ £1,000 to get the front stone chipped protection wrapped if I wish
total £4,100 + 12 week additional wait and worse resale
Cost for complete wrap = £1,520 including inside door sills etc
Having seen the work the wrap company can do and the money saving, seemed a no brainer. Worse case it can always go back to OEM Jet black
