Its boring to me, compared to many sports cars out there. To me the Porsche turbo has become more of a GT. I would not put it in the same category as a 458, 12c or gallardo.

Porsche's cars are all starting to look the same. I have owned many porsche's, but right now i can't even tell the difference between some of their models.

Same with bmw.

Ferrai, mclaren and lambo, have models that look different. Especially Ferrari.

Just my opinion and i am not here to make anyone angry.

Roger. This is almost completely inline with my opinion as well - even including the part about BMW, Ferrari, etc... I believe I took your previous post out of context.

My apologies.

Yes, the TT has become more of a GT. The fastest, best handling, most useable hi performance GT car available!! Just what some of us are looking for. I think comparing the GT3 to the 458, Gallardo, etc is more appropriate.

If I didn't know better I would have thought you sped up the video on the launch. MAN, that thing MOVES! It reminded me of playing with these as a kid.

2 more things. #1 Yes I have and so far they look much better than man getting out on all occasion I have seen...especially when exiting from driver seat. Maybe if the woman is not in such a good shape then maybe you are right then.

#2 I think 458 is still a good mans car but Porsche is more of a real mans car out of these 2. 458 is a pretty car more for looking at and being looked at in....but not so manly as the 911tt if you understand.

But California is not a taste for me personally. Maybe nicely suited for hairdresser type guy who wants that Ferrari hey look at me look!!!??

LOL- I think the car hit 59mph in the short first romp. The GIAC tune probably shaved a tenth off the time.

Went to see this for myself:

Did it again, and again, and again. Same result, even told the guy to go ahead and I'll chase. Still managed to pull and beat.

Having driven both, the only thing I'd take from the Ferrari and put it on the Porsche is the sound and the crest. It sounds amazing!

I've driven the 458 on the track several times and can't wait to get my Turbo on it. I did find the 458 very impressive (looks, performance, sound, etc). As mentioned by a few people, that exhaust note is awesome. I'm pretty sure my Cargraphic exhaust will sound good on the track too. I'm lucky enough to have two great tracks nearby (Grattan and Gingerman), so hopefully I can get on one of them soon.

I'm the original poster and happen to own both a 458 and a new 911 Turbo S. I'm not sure what kind of car you own, but be aware, the 458 is NOT slow. It is the most visceral car you would ever have the pleasure of driving. As I was bold enough to announce, the TTS is in fact faster in a straight line, but the 458 is still by far the more exciting experience.

Frankly, your comments should be reserved for some other forum. Porsche owners are gentlemen and recognize a Ferrari for what it is, a true exotic.

Come on man, have a little class...

Do not talk about have class and stuff, I didn't say anything irrelevant about ur Ferrari. So if the Ferrari 458 guys call Porsche turbo s boring then we could also say ur Ferrari 458 SLOW, fair enough?

In my opinion, the 458 is just outdated, keep in mind it began in 2009 and hasn't been changed since.

Personally I think if we were to compare speeds, we should compare with the Speciale. I'm waiting on the 458 replacement, I'm sure that thing will be a killer once it's out. I only hope they keep the sound the way it is, there's just no replacement for that!

I haven't driven it long enough to come up with a definite answer between choosing between the two, but for the moment. I pick the 991 TTS! Unless it's a Speciale, then I might have second thoughts.
