1/2 Mile Shootout - Standing Start or Rolling Start?

I have seen a couple of runway shootouts, both are 1/2 mile.

Event One - starting start using lights.
Event Two - rolling start. You enter onto the runway from a taxi way (big curve) and when straight you accelerate (at around 30mph i think) at the marked cones.

Which do you think would be the better event to attend?

Rolling start one. Too many variables affecting standing starts.

For the PDK Porsche's, you will certainly be at an advantage from a standing start. With your traction and shifting, it will take a very large power advantage to beat you. With that being said, I think most customers enjoy the rolling start more because it does take out the variables and generally the faster car will win.

Standing start. Take advantage of what the turbo has, AWD & launch control. The car is built to be a killer from a standstill!! If you do rolling starts you're giving up the biggest advantages the turbo has
