Manual to PDK .... ???
Now that's a flattering comparison! On the BMW board they said I looked like Owen Wilson but that picture is from 1976 or 1977, not sure which. My first car was a 1959 TR3 also a four on the floor.
Well ... maybe to get back on the point of this thread .... I drove t the dealership this afternoon to drive a 2015 TurboS.
As I previously wrote, I drove a CS 991 couple years ago with PDK and was left unimpressed on several levels, and put off leasing one until the new Turbos broke cover.
I had an extensive drive today on several different types of roadways ... Slab, modest divided, a bit back roads, and some town Tarmac.
I don't want to try to make this a review of the 991 Turbos, but a short dive into the car vs my 997.1 Turbo is : the interior is very different, but familiar, center gear shifter looks same/same, but taller between the 2 seats, more leg room, more refined suspension ... and there are a few others.
But, the great news is .... tah dah !! ... I liked the PDK in the TurboS ! Compared to the previous CS PDK, this was much sharper, crisper, and faster shifting. I played with the Sport/Sport+ settings (town is no place for + IMO), and found them fun to use. Shifting with the paddles, or letting the car do it's stuff was fine as well. I only found myself looking for the "left pedal" in the dealer's lot, but quickly found the car pretty intuitive.
I have a delivery date of mid January on my new 2015 Turbo coupe.

Watch, this guy do 50 launches. No hands! Not even looking??
Does it look like fun?? I guess so.
Does it look involving?? Not even close.....

I guess I am easily amused
I'm typically not overly excited about getting new things ... even cars. By the time I've decided to get something, I've spent a good deal of time. Takes the edges off the decision. But, I have to admit, I'm pretty excited.
Here's the final build:
911 Turbo (non S)
2Y Carrara White Metalic
NE Natural Leather Espresso
w/deviated stitching (burnt orange) doors, side panels, dash, everywhere
498 Model designation delete (I'll put "turbo" in satin black on the bum)
342 Front heated seats
529 Sport Design Mirrors
636 Park Assist ft/rr
640 Sport Chrono Pkg
998 Natural leather interior
XFJ White instrument dials (and SC clock white)
XHL Carbon fiber steering wheel / heated / multifunction
XHM CF console trim
EEJ CF interior package
XRU 20" Sport Classic wheels (plan to have the powder coated satin
black)
I liked the black exhaust tips on the S, but could not find an option. May be an S 'exclusive'. ?? I'd like the tips satin black.
Once I have the car, I plan to make a few modifications ... thinking of an aftermarket exhaust (I do care for rumble), and a tune. I'll do these incrementally. Run it stock for a bit ... then exhaust ... then tune. So, I can feel the improvements bit by bit.

That's good news and congrats!!!
Adding a bit of rumble is a good thing too! I've added SharkWerks exhaust and appreciate the new soundtrack!
The multifunction wheel's shift pads ..IMO... do not feel as "sporty" as the flappy paddles on the SportDesign... but the control functions and heated option is nice to have on the wheel...
I wish Porsche would allow a heated wheel on the SportDesign Wheel!!

I like the paddles better than the 'buttons', too. Not sure what Porsche was thinking in having 2 different designs. I'm sure there is a reason.
Haven't decided on which exhaust to hook up. I have Cargraphic loud on my 997.1 Turbo and like it. Love hearing the turbos spool up.
Listening to clips Online is iffy at best. Some use GoPro mics that just don't do them justice.
Fabspeed, FVD, Tubi .... I'll have to research them more and see if I can hear them in person. Told the dealership to give me a head's up if any come in the shop.

Love that video. Unbreakable indeed! Looks like a blast! Literally.

Lol, so true. And, as it turns out, Turbo owners do a little more with their cars than simply launch them repeatedly.
