Bucket List: Goodbye Turbo S, Hello GT3

Just traded my 2014 Turbo S in on a new GT3 today. I had a 2007 GT3 for seven years; replaced it with for the Turbo this spring since GT3 allocations were sparse/non-existent. Now allocations have popped up and I made a move. I liked the Turbo S a lot, very plush and tons of power anywhere in the rpm range, but the GT3 kept calling . .
I have a GMG race exhaust for sale; dealer is swapping mufflers as we speak. Great sound, no drone, Porsche should OEM this system.

Congrats and best of luck with the GT3. Great car. Will look out for the GMG exhaust.

Awesome! Congrats. Curious to hear your thoughts and comparisons of the 2 cars once you have more seat time.

That is the only way you could have upgraded in my book, IMO! Congrat's, how much for exhaust?

RE: GMC Exhaust. Paid $4700, asking $3300 plus shipping. Great sound plus wifey approved.

Enjoy the GT3, great car.

Please let me know how much you are willing to let go of the GMG exhaust for and whether it includes the headers as well. Im interested.

I'm thinking of doing the same thing. Do you have the gt3? Is it worth it?

Congrats, so what are your impressions so far?

Congratulations! I look forward to seeing it :)

Both are such great cars, can't go wrong with either! I couldn't handle the gt3 as a daily driver, too loud and on edge. However, for a weekend toy I would be all over it! I was really on the fence between the gt3 vs the TT. However, my kids love riding in the 911, especially with the top down, so for family bonding time it was a no brainer. Enjoy

enjoy life @ 9k!

Is it really that much better? I understand that the suspension is tighter and that it corners around the track, i.e., a race car...but won't you miss that out of the box crazy acceleration that the TTS gives you? Living in Michigan with our lousy roads, a GT3 might rattle lose my kidneys and end up not being the enjoyable experience that many of you speak of on this site. I'm just curious...

Two weeks ago I had to make the a decision whether to wait for a upcoming 2014 buyback GT3 at $14K over sticker for $168K or buy a Turbo S for $191K. After all the analysis of ride, comfort, bang for the buck, depreciation, space, HP and torque (320 lb ft vs 553) the Turbo S won hands down. If I was a track person the GT3 would have had a better chance. The extra room in the back of the Turbo makes things easier for us when traveling and I would make fewer stops at the gas station on a long trip.
