I find that my iPhone connects to my car about 50% of the time. Does anyone else have the same issue? Dealer says they have never had any complaints.

 

Yes on my 2013 it always seemed to be after I downloaded a new album and wanted to listen to it in my car. Seriously though it happened since new and was issue when taking the car from delivery. The phone connected the music did not. It was never resolved fully on the 13. My new 14 has not had this issue even once. Have you had the latest PCM updates?

Have not done the latest updates. I have to reflash my tune if I do, so I'm trying to find a time that makes sense. Not sure it will help though.

 

A tech guy Porsche salesman told me when that is occurring you should turn off bluetooth & re-pair again after deleting your phone from the PCM. I had some issues on my 997.2 with this but no problem with the 991. Also make sure your iPhone iOS is up to date. I've been using a 5 for sometime now with no problem, however he said it's also useful to delete the presets on your iPhone from previous pairing. I'm not sure why this works, however it eliminated the issues I had when the 997.2 was in my garage. The other thing is the PCM does have some interference so if your phone is too close, you may have issues.
