Sport /sport plus ?
And I looked at every car that was in my price range and what I wanted... and to be honest that car does not exist... The 911 Turbo came the closest to what I wanted. I basically wanted a 991 GT3 with a manual transmission, and all of the options / interior bells and whistles that you can select with the 911 Turbo...
It still amazes me that with all of the 911 variants that not one of them fits my bill... Oh well....I am not complaining as I know that a lot of people wish they had my problems... Just being honest...
I make a 125 mile trip once a month north on I-95. I always use Comfort Mode because the rpms lower because it shifts into 7th gear.
Why use sport and just waste energy for a boring cruise controlled 125 mile trip at 80 MPH?

Now ... I've only had my TT for a bit. And, for the last month, I've had it in the garage. 3 feet of snow in the yard, dangerous driveway 1/4 mile long with curves/hills. I'm sure I could get down the driveway, but maybe not back up with the summer tires. Plus, the roads suck! Frost heaves everywhere and pot holes that will certainly bust a wheel.
(sigh ...)
Anyway, in the short stint I've had to drive the car (about 700 miles), I tried the car in all modes. Also, I have the stop/start mode turned OFF!
My wife likes the 'comfort' mode. For all the reasons you can imagine. If I'm just driving around, I leave it in comfort/normal mode, too. 8 miles to work in 2 lane traffic doesn't work well for anything but "normal" mode, IMO.
If I'm in the car by myowndamnself, I tick it into 'sport'. I like the bit of firmness it gives the suspension and the quicker throttle repsonse. But, I find fuel mileage suffers a great deal. For all the right reasons.
I really don't have any use for the 'sport+' mode. The ride is way too harsh for me, and altho the fun factor is there ... it fades pretty quickly for me. Plus, I have no where to use this mode.

When I use it for my daily drive 40 mile each way commute to work in stop and go traffic on the Belt Parkway and Southern State Parkway during rush hour I leave it in comfort with PDCC off. I only hit the sport if there is an opening in the traffic and I want to blast through. And when cruising at highway speed I keep it in normal mode.
I also never use sport plus given the NYC area's horrible winter road conditions. And if I do I retract the spoilers as I do not want to hit a pothole and rip it/tear it.

I find it odd that many consider the turbo too quiet. When this car is in sport plus, I find it almost disturbingly loud. It like stays above 4000 rpm and bounces off the red line. Just seems too much for driving around town especially in a residential setting.
I generally stick to sport mode

For me, the exhaust note is too quiet in normal and sport mode in most regular driving conditions, which is why I got the GMG exhaust installed.
Sport plus is obnoxious for local driving, but it is really not the exhaust that is making all the noise in sport+, it is the engine revs. For me, the exhaust note is too quiet in normal and sport mode in most regular driving conditions, which is why I got the GMG exhaust installed.
Sport Plus is useful for passing idiots staying in the passing lane and not moving at less than the speed limit, legal in FL. Passing on the right getting ahead of them in Sport Plus wakes them up. It does have its highway pluses.
What is up with drivers education these days? Nobody drives in the right lane anymore! It's a freaking epidemic. Drives me insane
