Confirmed in email exchange yesterday that Speedtactics mount will work with TTS ventilated seats and that the seat can be moved forward without the 2.5 lb extinguisher in the bracket. Installation looks easy enough, although I will have to look very closely at the seat mounts to be sure. Might have to remove the mat though. Checking again with Porsche parts dept to see if I can buy just the bracket, as they do not ship the extinguishers via air. Parts guy did not know if the stock bracket is for a 1.5 or 2.5 lb extinguisher. Obviously, they get very few such inquires. Also, the facgtory bracket may be an involved installation, where the Sprretactics is relatively simple and does not require seat removal. Will very probably go with Speedtactics unit.

From what I've seen, the SpeedTactics bracket looks the most user friendly, at least from an installation perspective.

AndrewP: If you do install it, please post back whether it is possible to remove the floor mats while the bracket is installed. I vacuum the mats every week, and every third time or so pull the mats to get under them, and it would be a PIA to have to remove the extinguisher bracket just to remove the mats.

I am guessing you probably can, as the tabs on the bracket that attach to the seat bolts angle the extinguisher mount up at an angle.

My understanding, the Porsche factory bracket has a very odd sized fire extinguisher, meaning because of haz material shipping, its impossible to purchase here in the states. I also think the factory bracket is also drilled through the floorboard.

So going with Paragon to order, its about a two week back order. If get it first will post photos. My guess(?) can still remove floor mats, or at least can remove just FE to create room to remove the mats.

Speedtactics fire extinguisher bracket

Guys thank you so much for your interest in my product! We are a small Mom and Pop company and we can only grow with grass roots support like yours!
Here is some more info on our Porsche bracket. There is also a how to instal video on the page as well.

It really is an easy install and can be done with minimal tools and any skill level.
The extinguisher can be mounted on either the passenger or driver side.
We recommend the driver side where it can be reached when belted into the car.
PCA events require 2.5lb extinguishers and our bracket will accommodate 1.5lb or 2.5lb bottles. Give me a shout if you have more questions we are always here to help. 805-375-8260
Here is a recent install in a 2014 GT3 with 18way seats

The SpeedTactics bracket and 2.5 lb FE is the best solution. As we see from the photo, the mats can stay in place. Thought I would mount on passenger side, but will try driver's side and can easily change. The factory extinguisher is 2.2 lbs according to the main website, so is not acceptable to some tracks or club events anyway. Also, the service from the folks at SpeedTactics is excellent.

Thanks Scott. We spoke on the phone about two weeks ago. You were gracious and very helpful. I always admire very small business, and wish you the best with your products. Thanks for making them available for us.
