991 turbo vs 911 50th anniversary

I love the looks, style and exhaust sound of the 50th anniversary 911 and have found a couple on the use market with very few miles. My daily driver is a Panamera Turbo S , I am looking for something that is even more 'fun'. Am I going to be so satisfied with the normally aspirated 911 or should I get a 911 turbo?

Get the Turbo if you are used to and want along the same lines as the Panny Turbo's acceleration. The 911-50 is quick with the extra ponies, but the Turbo is wicked quick.

Oh man, if you are into speed in any kind of way, speed that leaves you breathless, get the turbo. 50th is nice but its a different league. While you're at it, check the S box.

50th is nice but I'd get the GTS before it. As for the 50th vs Turbo conversation it is not really comparable. I had a 13 c2 and the TT is on a different level compared to its NA counterparts. Go drive them and decide.

I agree with Tommyboy. Unless you think of the 50th Anniversary as a future collector item, you are better off looking into the GTS. Reviews indicate the GTS suspension is more compliant on rough roads than the 50th Anniversary. Also, the GTS is priced better with the right options.

Finally, if you are not going to use the 911 variant as a daily driver and if you like the PDK then you should also test drive or at least consider a GT3.

Life must be good. If I had your money I would burn mine!

After the PTTS you will be disappointed in anything else than the turbo or turbo s. Just drove them on the ice, and they are very nice. Throttle response is even faster than in the PTTS. I went ecologically this time and bought the i8, but I really struggled after driving the 991 Turbo and Turbo S,they were that good... Anything else is a step down from the PTTS and in that case Id keep the Panny.
