My by design stage 3 991TTS was one of the fastest cars at the Slipstream event

I'll be at Shift Sector this coming weekend along with IPD Mike's car.... Let's see what happens here on the West coast!

Nice! My GTR was number 43! I went into the brackets with the highest qualifying time of 152.12mph...I got DQ'd second round for going 2mph over 65.... great times for sure! Your car looked and performed great!

ummm...I hate to be that guy, but the GIAC 997.2 was the dominating Porsche at this event.

Ok, Let me explain.. Dominating results is the OP went through the field and ended up with the WIN. The fact that the GIac 997.2 was part of this field speaks volumes.

Hey Bro! Just a plain jain Boostlogic 750X kit... putting down 711WHP and 609TQ... my best run of the weekend was 155 but that was on sunday. Bad thing about these events is they always leave me wanting for more power... ugh.

My best trap at Slipstream's Roll Out to Reach Out at Pocono on a hot July day when I was only GIAC Stage 2 was 146.57 (I was car 38) -- the same trap speed as the Cobb/ByDesign Stage 3 car did on a much cooler, turbo friendly day at East Coast Call Out.
Now I really wish I could have gone to ECCO!! We will have to run in Mexico..

There's a vid of that car beating a 991TTS pretty convincingly. I assumed that was the OP's car since there weren't many Porsches there. Admittedly I've never been to one of these events so I'm not sure what qualifies as a "win", or if that's necessarily "dominating". Also for the record, our 997.2 TTS "9 sec" package makes considerably less power then the advertised Cobb/ByDesign Stage 3.

But for your run to count at Slipstream you must be between 55-65 mph at the rolling start. For the runs that counted RobRob's Cobb/ByDesign Stage 3 991 TTS won the day. Similarly, at ROTRO My E63 S with tune and mufflers beat Mo's much faster FBO meth M5. That was only because he started at too high a speed. At Race Warz he crushed my E63 S by at least 5-6 car lengths or more.

Yeah every time an event is over people want more power. It's our nature LOL!
Regarding the 997.2's. To date they have been faster than the 991 on the stock turbochargers. For a lot of reasons. So I think our car did really well. I also don't think you can compare mile per hour from two different days and events for a lot of reasons. Sometimes the cars run faster in certain runs than the posted numbers. And +1 regarding the videos. Especially the win only videos. But again not interested in comparison measuring anymore. I know the car kicks ***! As time goes on there will be more consistent evidence of where these cars sit. Disputes and opinions present or not
Thanks for the comments guys

Ok let me get this straight I need to clarify my impression..... You were not at the event and have never been. The OP stated there were faster cars there including the 997.2 you reference, yet you attempt to diminish the results of the op in learning, dominating and winning? You as most know how much time and energy goes into the front end of even showing at one of these events. Every participant being focused on the same goal, to win. Whether one considers the winning effort subpar or dominating the results are the same..... A win.
However, you stated that the car "dominated" the field, when in fact, the only heads up fair race captured on video between the OP's car and another Porsche shows the 997.2 winning by a convincing margin.
Not taking anything away from the OP, his car, or the win at this event, and I apologize for derailing his thread. I am told Rob is a really nice guy and was very humble, which is clearly shown by his original post. However, all you fanboys FROM BOTH SIDES OF THE DEBATE need to just chill out and cut the s*!t with all the calling out and trash talking. It's getting ridiculous and making it so unpleasant to be involved in the conversations any more.
