Redlist Results -- Cobb/ByDesign Stage 4 Turbo Upgrade Cars' Results

Waiting here with baited breath as to the results today at Redlist?

How are the Cobb/ByDesign Stage 4 turbo upgrade cars doing?

How are the GIAC/Champion tuned/equipped cars doing? Mark Blackwell's car? Longboarder's car?

Well, I'm at dinner right now I'll post my slips shortly but One of my runs was a 10.24 at 133. So the track wasn't to bad. And ive got 4 slips quicker than 10.30 and I only ran 5 times and my first run was a red light DQ

That are good numbers... giac 2+, Exhaust, IC's and 100oct gas?

Killer time Mark. Squares with my experience with the public release version of the GIAC Stage 2+ tune, stock turbos, Champion intercoolers and catless exhaust and stock plenum. Car is just an animal under WOT

Also that is just 5 hundreds slower than the best ET from any of the Cobb/ByDesign stage 4 turbo upgrade cars on the same day at the same track. And those cars not only have upgraded turbos but the IPD Y pipe, IPD plenum and headers among other additional mods. Huge result!

Scott I totally agree the car is a beast, I destroyed a Cobb car, and the Cobb guys were checking under my car because they didn't beleive I had stock turbos, and it's only gonna get faster.

Emre has shown that the car is capable of 9s with a turbo upgrade. But I think he is running more than a 65 mm wheel. And the ByDesign/Cobb turbo upgrade is new and probably needs some additional development and fine tuning. We saw how fast Nigel's car was at stage 3 once it had been dialed in.

The traps do show the Stage 4 could be in the 9s. Time to figure out the launch and take one to a record making dragstrip like Atco. The Stage 4 car should have annihilated Mark's stock turbos GIAC Stage 2+ car yesterday but didn't. I expect that they will figure out the launch and get in the nines.

My oh my I cannot wait to see what GIAC and Champion have coming out with their turbo upgrade. Their cooks have been in the kitchen for a long time cooking up their turbo upgrade. And then .... The face to face races begin.

Yeah the tracks here on the west coast are definitely no comparison to some of those amazing tracks on the other side of the world. We struggled the 60 foot times and are trying to figure it out. Those tires should've been cutting below 1.4 60's. Then if we could crank it we would definitely have headlines. Got lots of data and we're also glad we could Dunbar traps up a little. Even those were on the low side. 10.14 is all the track gave us at about 138. Ready for the next one!

Regarding the headers and IPD…I'm just confused if you believe or don't believe in them making power. I hear two sides in your posts

We definitely have to get some of your cars back out to Atco. Unfortunately I think this week will be the last warm week

With the power you guys are making you should definitely have gotten some 60 foot times in the low 1.4s or high 1.3s. The traps show that the power is there for 9s.

Don't think anyone is going to ship a car from the West Coast to Atco for a couple tenths but there is a NJ stage 4 car that is either recently completed or almost complete. You will see him in spring
